About

Operation Ground Support is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving our neighbors in Dallas.

How this works

Donated clothing, food, hygiene supplies, school supplies, and household goods come in through the back door of TODO. Volunteers sort them in the basement, and neighbors who need them take them, at no cost, during open hours.

History needed
Add the founding year to org.founded and write two or three sentences here on how this started and who it serves. A reviewer cannot tell whether this organization is two months or ten years old, and that ambiguity reads worse than either answer.
Numbers needed
Publish at least one number that someone actually counted, in org.metrics — bags handed out in a typical week, households in a month, pounds of food. Include how it was counted and the date. Start counting now even if you cannot publish yet; in six months you will want a year of data. Do not invent a round number to fill this space.

Board

Most important gap on the site
Fill in org.board with names and roles. A 501(c)(3) with no identifiable people anywhere on its website is the single loudest red flag in grant diligence, and it is the cheapest one to fix. Roles alone are fine if someone does not want a bio.

Tax status

Operation Ground Support is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity, classified under IRC Section 509(a)(2).

Photo needed

The one photograph on the site. Shoot the shelves — stocked or bare, both are honest — or boxes staged for a distribution. No faces. Natural light, shot straight-on rather than at an angle.
